The DB Schenker Group has been pursuing for many years the policy of sustainable development. One of its most important assumptions is respect for the natural environment and continuous improvement in the processes and technologies that take into account ecological requirements.

The Schenker Group's Ecological Report presents the extent to which the concern's divisions throughout the world apply the Environment Management System. It also helps diagnose the problems  that need to be solved and the areas where improvement can be achieved.
In Poland, Schenker Sp. z o.o. was among the first logistic operators to introduce an Integrated Quality, Work Safety and Environment Management System.

 

Our activities, pursued in accordance with the concept of sustainable development, are consistent with international norms as confirmed by the obtained certificates, including the ISO 14001 Certificate. The latter certificate attests to the application of the Environment Management System by our company and to the carrying out of activities in compliance with the principles of environmental protection.

Areas linked to environmental protection that are covered by Schenker Sp. z o.o. Integrated Management System:

development of ecological awareness among employees, suppliers and partners  
waste management  
appropriate manner of dealing with wastes and leakages resulting from the use of cars  
minimization of the emission of harmful substances by means of improvements in the organisation of transport and application of methods allowing to estimate the quantity of pollutants produced during transport  
reduction in the level of noise  

Quality, Work Safety and Environment Management Policy

We conduct regular audits to check to what an extent our obligations have been fulfilled.
The main principles shaping our ecological policy are contained in the key documents of our organisation. Every employee has the duty to get acquainted with these documents and to act in accordance with the principles set forth in these documents.

Quality, Work Safety and Environment Management Policy - is Schenker Sp. z o.o. principal document which determines everyday activities of the organisation, the conduct of employees towards each other, towards clients, suppliers and partners.
