In the fall of 2008 DB Schenker was the first transport and logistic company in Poland to be awarded the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) award, an excellence recognition reaching 4 star level. This is a clear sign for our customers and partners that in the area of leadership, partnership and policy and strategy building we follow the best, most reliable and internationally recognized practices which allow us to offer the highest quality of services.
The EFQM Excellence Model is a tool which allows for a global assessment of a company. One of the stages, EFQM self-assessment, which is based on precise identification of strengths and elements that require improvement, has allowed us to precisely plan and set self-improvement goals, the results of which we can now clearly observe. It needs to be noted that the implementation of the EFQM Model means the continuity of the process of improvement.
The EFQM Model is used by different business leaders, such as Philips, BMW, Nokia or Volkswagen. Using the model may be a solution for a long-term development, which builds up the value of a company in the long run and also helps companies to deal with more difficult market conditions. Another crucial benefit of applying the model is the establishment of a vast and mutually beneficial cooperation with business partners and suppliers.
