Schenker Sp. z o.o. uses its experience and global know-how providing logistic services for numerous events. The company was the logistic partner, among others, for the international United Buddy Bears exhibition, the nation-wide Noble Parcel campaign or Mazovia MTB 2009 Cycling Marathons.

Since the year 1999, Schenker Sp. z o.o. has co-operated with the Our Earth Foundation and has supported environmental project. The company is involved, among others, in such campaigns as "Clean up the World" and the International Baltic Cleaning.

DB SCHENKER LOGISTICS SUPPORTS THE FLOOD SUFFERES

Schenker Sp. z o.o. supports Food Banks providing food to the flooded areas. 300 tonnes of food distributed.

Only within two weeks almost 30 free-of-charge consignments were sent, with the total weight of about 300 tonnes. Thanks to the help of carriers and couriers cooperating with the logistics operator, it will be possible to organise the next transports taking aid to the flooded areas.

DB SCHENKER – THE PARTNER OF THE UNITED BUDDY BEARS EXHIBITION IN POLAND

The United Buddy Bears is an international project promoting the idea of tolerance and understanding between nations and cultures, and has also a charitable aspect. The exhibition was hosted in the largest cities across 4 continents and was displayed for example in Berlin, Hong Kong, Istanbul, Tokyo, Seoul, Cairo, Vienna, Sydney and Jerusalem.

Schenker Sp. z o.o. was responsible for the logistics of the United Buddy Bears exhibition where more than 140 “Bears” were displayed around the Sigismund's Column at the Warsaw Castle Square. The inhabitants of Warsaw and tourists could visit the unique exhibition from 10 May until 22 June 2008.

As the exhibition’s logistics partner, Schenker Sp. z o.o. was responsible for international transport, storage, handling and assembly of exhibits. The company transported altogether 142 boxes with the Buddy Bears figures from Berlin to one of its warehouses near Warsaw. The company’s employees assembled and disassembled all exhibition’s elements at Castle Square.

         

DB SCHENKER FOR SPORT - MAZOVIA MTB 2009 and 2010 CYCLING MARATHONS

In 2005, a group of bike enthusiasts known as the DB Schenker Team was formed. The team participates in nationwide marathons and it is composed of a few dozens of employees from different branches around the country. From 2009 on, the company has acted as a logistic partner of the Mazovia MTB marathons. As part of this cooperation, the company provided transport services for 13 events in 2009 and 11 events in 2010. Carriers and couriers working for DB Schenker also support the handling of the marathons. Participation in sports events is a way to build relationships and support the integration between employees and couriers, who were also invited to run in the marathons. 
     
                   

NOBLE PARCEL

The employees of Schenker Sp. z o.o.regularly participate in the Christmas campaign organised by Stowarzyszenie Wiosna [Spring Association] – referred to as the Noble Parcel. Various branches prepare Christmas presents for selected families. In 2008, the company additionally supported logistically the campaign transporting the presents along the routes indicated by the Association for free.

OUR EARTH AND CLEAN UP THE WORLD

Each year at the turn of August and September, Schenker Sp. z o.o. is responsible for the distribution of promotional materials for the Clean Up The World campaign.

Parcels from Warsaw reach nearly 500 schools and other locations involved in that campaign via the logistics network of DB Schenker. In 2008, the total number of parcels was 471 and their total weight was 2,162 kg.
